info	:	This is part of a generator I'm working on I'm not sure what force I'm going to use to spin it I'm thinking gravity because that will allow me to do something different. To make it a better generator I hooked a DC to AC inverter up to it. The inverter consists of two transistors, two resistors, and a center tapped 12V to 120V transformer so you put 12V volts AC in that transformer your going to get 120V out I really have no idea what frequency I'm getting because I just slapped it together with what I had on hand The permanent magnet motor was a 120V motor used to drive the brushes on a Dyson vacuum- what you want is the 240V European motor because you barley turn it and it makes a decent amount of voltage. With the inverter on it when you barley crank it gives you a jolt that feels like sticking your hand in a light socket. The thing with the inverters is you can turn DC into AC very easily but getting specific values like frequency can be a mathematical nightmare. The bulb I'm lighting up is a standard 120V LED bulb it lights up pretty nicely because it only draws 3W 25mA but don't even think about an incandescent or CFL. What they ought to do is make these LED bulbs with a white tint because they put off that awful blue light. If they could do that these would replace all types of bulbs!!
